About Cal Grinding, Inc.
Cal Grinding,
Inc. developed it's CalValvesTM brand of engine valves in 1987 at the request of a
local PERA remanufacturer. Their representative was looking for a high quality, cost
effective alternative to valve salvage and valve guide repair. The end result of this
effort was the creation of the
Plus 8 (0.008 in.)
oversize valve program.
Since 1987, Cal Grinding, Inc. has continuously improved every aspect
of its products and business to become the leading remanufacturer of production engines
valves in North America. CalValvesTM engine valves have been installed in millions of
vehicles and industrial equipment throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Our success is a
direct result of our commitment to provide our customers with a cost effective, top
quality alternative to valve guide replacement and OEM valves.

Our production capacity doubled in 1999 after we moved into our new 10 acre facility,
which has more than 80,000 square feet of floor space.
In 2001, Cal Grinding, Inc. became a UL Registered Firm when it
received ISO 9002 registration. Our Registration was updated to ISO
9001:2000 in December of 2003.
CalValvesTM are manufactured by Cal Grinding, Inc. in the
beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
